DMCA

Copyright stuff matters and we handle it properly. Here's how things work when someone believes content here infringes their rights.

Our Stance

APK Ruffi respects intellectual property. Creators deserve control over their work. When legitimate copyright holders raise concerns, those get taken seriously and addressed promptly.

That said, understanding what we actually do helps set expectations. We publish app information, guides, and provide download resources. Some files get hosted directly. Many get linked from external sources outside our control.

Concerns about files hosted elsewhere need directing to those platforms directly. We can only handle content actually on our servers or pages.

Sending a Takedown Notice

Believe something here infringes your copyright? Here's what a proper DMCA notice should include.

Your identity first. Full legal name, physical address, phone number, email address. We need knowing who's making claims and how reaching back if needed.

The copyrighted work next. Describe what you own that's being infringed. Registration numbers help but aren't strictly required.

Location of infringement. Specific URLs showing where problematic content appears on our site. Vague complaints without exact locations can't be actioned effectively.

Good faith statement. Confirm you genuinely believe usage isn't authorized by copyright owner, their agent, or applicable law.

Accuracy declaration. State under penalty of perjury that information provided is accurate and you're authorized acting for the copyright holder.

Signature. Physical or electronic works fine.

Where To Send

DMCA notices go here:

Email: dmca@apkruffi.web.app

Subject line should include "DMCA Notice" or similar so we spot it quickly among regular messages.

What Happens After

Valid notices get reviewed promptly. We examine claims, locate content in question, evaluate whether infringement actually occurred.

Legitimate cases result in content removal or access disabling. Usually happens within several business days for straightforward situations.

Sometimes additional information gets requested. Complex cases occasionally need back and forth before resolving fully.

Counter Notifications

Had content removed and believe that was wrong? Counter notification process exists.

Your counter notice needs including removed content identification, statement under penalty of perjury that removal was mistaken, consent to legal jurisdiction, contact details, and signature.

Valid counter notifications might result in content restoration unless original complainant pursues legal action within DMCA specified timeframes.

Repeat Offenders

Users repeatedly infringing copyrights face consequences. Access termination. Permanent bans. We track violations and act accordingly when patterns become clear.

False Claims Warning

Filing fake DMCA notices carries serious consequences. Federal law penalizes knowingly misrepresenting infringement claims. Damages, costs, attorney fees. Real legal exposure.

Only file when genuinely believing infringement occurred. Weaponizing DMCA against competitors or content you simply dislike isn't acceptable and can backfire badly.

Informal Resolution

Not everything requires formal DMCA procedures. Sometimes simple conversations resolve concerns faster. Feel free reaching out through regular contact channels first if preferred.

We're reasonable people. Legitimate issues get addressed either way. Formal notices just create paper trails if needed later.

Final Thoughts

Copyright situations rarely feel simple for anyone involved. We try handling them fairly while balancing creator rights with legitimate commentary and information sharing.

Questions about this policy? Contact page works for those too. Happy clarifying anything unclear.
